When a book ends on a stunning cliffhanger, the one thing you hope for is the next one doesn’t beat around the bush in resolving the issue. No worries here because the story gets right into it!
The situation involving Annie’s husband was riveting, frightening and tension riddled. The image she created of him didn’t even come close to the reality. It was raw, emotional and dangerous.
I loved how Annie and Dylan further exposed themselves and their vulnerabilities to each other. Both had fascinating histories that defined them and together they struggled to reach some place where they could build something together. These are two of the most complex, intriguing and unpredictable characters I’ve encountered and they’re expertly written.
Be prepared to ride the range of a myriad of emotions in this story. It’s tough but sincere and incredibly authentic. The writing is superb and the secondary characters have already seduced me. There’s no way that this is the end because there’s much more to be told. Yes, we’ve gotten Dylan and Annie’s truths and now I’m ready to explore those important in their world.

Cliffhangers got to love them and hate them! Lovely review I’m glad it was resolved so quickly!

Thank you, Berit! I generally hate them when I don’t know it’s coming but we were forewarned and both books were made available at the same time. So…this one worked.

It’s interesting that both books came together. That’s really good of them! I also love the author’s name!! My daughter’s name is Molly but she doesn’t have the wonderful Celtic last name to go with it. This is a wonderful review as always!

Thank you, Mackey! The author released this so smartly, knowing her audience would have little tolerance to wait to resolve a cliffhanger. I love her name, too.

Great review! I read the first two in this series and really enjoyed them too. When I hit the third, I almost dnf’d it and couldn’t get into the characters at all. 😩

Yes, that third book was tough. But the fourth was lovely.
