Positivity Wave

The Positivity Wave #4

The Positivity Wave
Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog,  I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.

I received a lovely message from author Amanda Prowse for my review of My Husband’s Wife! And! Simon & Schuster Audio promoted my review of Maybe Now. I don’t take these acknowledgments for granted💜

Samsung TV

We bought this TV almost a year ago and love everything about it…except the streaming. We have a crappy internet provider (changing soon) so we get a lot of interruptions. But, each time that happened, our TV made us re-enter the WiFi password. I reported the issue twice with Samsung and they gave me supposed fixes that never resolved the problem. I finally got the true diagnosis from elsewhere…a bad chip…just under the wire for the warranty to handle! You have no idea how happy I am to have this fixed, finally! It’s a gorgeous TV and we like to stream…a lot! And, the technicians gave us excellent advice on how to resolve our internet issues. For this tech girl, it was a lovely, lovely moment.

Hardwood Floors

My hardwood floors (covering my entire downstairs except for the bedroom) were in desperate need of some love and I tackled it myself, finishing an audiobook in the process. They are gleaming!

The View’s View Your Deal strikes again! This time I picked up these two luscious gels for my bath at half price and they smell fantastic! I love my bath experiences and these two are definite hits. 💜

  • I lost just under a pound in a week when I thought I’d gained a bit more! And, my sister lost four🎉
  • Got a pedicure and picked a gorgeous color…fuschia-red blend that everyone has complimented, including hubby.
  • Announced this week: The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly is coming to CBS as a series…courtesy of the über talented David E. Kelly!
  • Julie Andrews will be the voice of Lady Whistledown when The Bridgertons book series (by Julia Quinn) comes to Netflix!!! Shonda Rimes rocks😍
  • My friend’s daughter’s wedding came off beautifully after weeks of bridezilla moments…she said everything was wonderful and everyone was happy. And, from the pics, they looked it💕

What positivity waves hit you this week?

  2. Like you with your TV, I finally got my iWatch back from Apple. They gave me a new one. I was more than impressed. 😀 Oh, and your floors? Wanna come over and do mine next? Seriously though, you rock Sweetie.

  3. Another wonderful week of highs, Jonetta! I am a View fan, too, and I missed out on those gels! I recently bought the Night pillows. I have a thing for pillows. They have a little smell that gave me a bad headache the first night, but I need to try again now that they’ve aired out more. I need to give my hardwoods some TLC like that! Congrats on your weight loss and once again celebrating others’ successes! ♥️

    1. Thank you, Jennifer! Ooh, I hope those pillows work out. There shouldn’t be an odor😬 I love that feature, though. Of course, I always go for the low price point stuff😏

I hate doing these floors and put them off for longer than I should. But the payoff is so wonderful after I’ve done them. Took me forever but they were worth the effort.

  4. Love this post!
    Also, lovely floor 🙂
I have a wooden floor with tiny pieces, but it’s a 100 years old and when it gets humid, some of the pieces stick to my feet. Fun times!

I never had a pedi! I may actually get one soon… that fuschia nail polish sounds pretty good!

    1. Thank you, Norrie! My floors are about 30 years old and the builder of my house lived in it so we’ve got really great hardwoods. I know about the humidity so I keep it frigid😬

I don’t get manicures but the pedicures are essential for maintenance and I’ll leave it at that😆! The thing I’m loving about this nail color is the hint of red. It’s really beautiful.

I always feel so happy when I get this kind of acknowledgment, I’m glad your work was recognised! You deserve it!
Looking at your hardwood floors makes me want to unroll my yoga mat there and practice!!!
Yay for a wedding going well! I don’t know why we put ourselves into such crazy times, haha!
Thank you for all this fabulous positivity! xxx
