My friend was supposed to be in a meeting in tower one at 8:30 and she was running late. She got off of the bus a block before the towers just as the first tower got hit. It took her over 14 hours to get back to NJ.😢🙏
We haven’t forgotten up here either, Jonetta. Me and mine were talking about the anniversary over breakfast. And I tweeted about it this morning but the silence was deafening … how sad.
Thank you, Alexandra. I never thought I’d see it be so quietly acknowledged in my lifetime. That day changed everything as we once knew about our country and the world.
My daughter had just started kindergarten – it was her first week, as they start after Labor Day in MN. I wondered what kind of world did I bring a child into?
I’ll never forget either. I feel a sense of dread every year when it approaches and I never watched the news but I made sure to tune in this morning for any coverage. Thanks so much for sharing this, Jonetta.

My family and I will never forget. We lost neighbors and friends on that day. My heart is still broken.
