2020 Challenges

2020 Beat the Backlist Challenge

2020 Beat the Backlist Challenge Pledge

This reading challenge, hosted by Austine & Katie @ NovelKnight, is all about knocking off those older books from your to-read list. Any genre, any format, any length. I participate in several group reads of older series so this fits my reading habits oh so well. And, I got seriously behind in 2019. My pledge is to read 80 books for this challenge.

Guidelines

  • The book must have been published in 2019 or earlier to count. It can be in any format (including an ARC/eARC) as long as the release date is 2019 or earlier (i.e. 2020 releases are not allowed).
  • You have to start and finish the book in 2020 to count it. Any books started in 2019 and finished in 2020 do not count. Any books started in 2020 and finished in 2021 also do not count.
  • The challenge runs from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020

  1. Wow I love this idea! I have so many back list books that I want to read and not enough time to read them. A reading challenge sounds like the perfect idea for that! I notice a lot of Alison Brennan and Lisa Gardner on here 😄 plus quite a few romances. I’m also keen on trying out Say You Still Love Me. Great list Jonetta! Jen

    1. Thanks, Jen💜 I’m part of two Goodreads group reads for Brennan’s trilogies connected to Lucy Kincaid, leading up to one for that series. The other group read is Gardner’s Detective D. D. Warren series. Good eye!

Yes, I love romance equally to all my other genres. They balance out the murder, mayhem and despair of the others😏

      1. I’m terrible keeping up with 2019 challenges, let alone 2020 ones! xD I’m definitely going to put together a 2020 BTB post soon (and add the missing 2019 read titles to the BTB page while I’m at it haha).
