Positivity Wave

The Positivity Wave #32

The Positivity Wave
Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog,  I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.

We had our delayed holiday celebration last night and it was fabulous! The restaurant, Spring House, was outstanding…venue, food and service. We had a private room and we stayed for hours. I love this group. The book was Jane Eyre and we even had a great discussion about it.

Hangers

Got my organizing mojo back! I’m finally tackling my closet now that I’ve lost all this weight. Found these hangers on Amazon and they will free up at least 1/4 more space. I’m am so excited to start.

I’ve resumed my walking (two days already logged in) and discovered the botanical gardens section of the Bicentennial Park where I normally walk. It’s got trails and waterfalls I’ve yet to walk. Just lovely!

Beach House #1

The house is finished, the website pictures are up and we’ve already gotten three reservations! See it here.

  • Watching an old Columbo episode while doing my blog posts…Heaven!
  • Took my car in for regular maintenance and discovered that the $600 bill was covered by my warranty!
  • Lost 2 lbs after traveling and the holidays!
  • Discovered that a potential legal issue turned out to be nothing.
  • All the football teams I wanted to win last weekend did!

What positivity waves hit you this week?

  1. Haha – so unfair to talk about weight loss, when most of us have been stuffing our faces over Christmas / New Year. Looks like a lovely place you are walking – I would probably get more walking / running done, if I lived close to such an area.

    1. True confession…we were working so hard on the beach house we were completely unprepared for Christmas. No baking or special cooking. We were invited to a friend’s home for Christmas dinner so no opportunities for overeating without leftovers.

I’m a five minute drive from this beautiful park and, you’re right Stargazer, it does make it easier for me to want to get out there.

  2. Like the friday positivity post! All good things! Congrats on the weight loss walking trails and house finishing!! Envious of the closet organization (I have to finish 2 rooms before mine can happen lol – but working on it) Sounds like 2020 has started out pretty good! Keep it up and hope the year is an awesome one for you!!

    1. Thanks, Meggy💜 My friend and I started this one. It’s the best way to meet new people. She used the Neighborhood app (not sure if it’s only in the US). We didn’t know any of these women until we started this book club.

I’m thrilled to learn you have these same hangers and they work well. I’m so excited about them.

      Have a wonderful week!

  3. What an amazing week Jo. The Beach House looks amazing. I would love to spend a week there with a bunch of friends, but not sure if it will ever happen. So great that you are feeling healthy and getting out more. I hope to get to that point soon. Have a great week.
