Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
The best gifts are those that are unexpected. My cousin’s wife sent me a package of goodies following their visit. This coffee was included and I now have a new favorite blend. Besides being a thoughtful expression, this is one smooth cup of coffee!
My goal this week was three days of walking but because of the weather, I only got two days in. However! I compensated by doing 45 minutes of walking in the grocery store. Made my goal!
I’ve started! The new hangers are everything I thought they would be and I’ve also reorganized three drawers. I’m completely into this now and can see serious progress.
The book series is coming to TV! Amazon Studios and Paramount have developed the series for Amazon Prime Video and Lee Child is one if the executive producers!!! No disrespect to Tom Cruise but…this time the casting will be closer to the characteristics of the book Jack Reacher. The first season will be based on Killing Floor, Book #1. Cannot wait and stay tuned!
- Kansas City Chiefs made it to the conference championship game! If you watched it, you know why I’m excited.
- Finished my first classic for the year, which I started many years ago. I’ve wanted to finish Jane Eyre and I loved it despite a bad audio performance.
- My WW partner returned after a 3-week absence! What a homecoming.
- The weather cleared up yesterday, enough for me to get a beautiful walk in along the beach shoreline.
- My car registration came before the deadline (last day)!
I needed to see some positivity today, and it sounds like you had a pretty solid week, Jonetta! And funny you just read Jane Eyre—I’m making a serious effort to get through my backlog of TBR books that I’ve cataloged on Goodreads, and it’s right at the top of the list. Glad to hear that you loved it!

Thanks, Christopher💜 That’s quite the coincidence about Jane Eyre! I think you’ll love it.

So many wonderful things to always be thankful for, and coffee is up there too. What a lovely gesture and one that’s obviously enjoyed. I envy you going for walks out, even if you didn’t get more days than you did. The weather up here means no walks till at least April, unless you count the Mall! ☺️ Have a great weekend!

I’d never even heard of this coffee. She talked about it during the visit so this was her thoughtful way of sharing one of her pleasures. It is so, so good!
It turned cold but not too much to keep me from walking. It was all that rain and fog that stopped me.
You have a great weekend, too, Alexandra💜

I need to see if we can get it online then, we’ve tried a few good ones over the years.
Yeah, the weather here is minus 30 today, so I don’t think we’ll be going anywhere today! 😳 And snow due tomorrow. And I live up here because? 😆

I’ve heard Peets is amazing and they sell it at Harris Teeter and Food Lion! Someone posted on my blog the other day they were drinking Peet’s Ethiopian Super Natural!
https://www.peets.com/ethiopian-super-natural. I can’t wait to go and see what flavors they have!
Congratulations on an awesome week Jo and thanks for the reminder to take care of my registration!!🌞☕📚💜💜

I didn’t know Harris Teeter carried Peet’s! My cousin’s wife also sent the Ethiopia blend but I haven’t tried it yet.
Haha! Glad I could help with the registration💜

I love unexpected gifts, and I even love it more when I’m the one sending them! 🙂 I haven’t reached my steps per day goal but I’m blaming the tube, haha! I need to walk more! I’ve moved things around my room and it feels like home a bit more every day, so I relate to your organised feeling! Thank you for a wonderful positivity vibe. Your weekly posts make my heart sing xxx

All wonderful things! I’m excited about the Jack Reacher series and that he will look more like the book! I’m excited to watch it. Another great week! I’m happy about the organizing too. I’ve been working my own efforts on that front since moving and it is SO satisfying.

I am not sure how I missed this post Jonetta, but I did. Of course since you posted, the Chiefs won the Superbowl, so exciting. I love when we can appreciate the little things like a new coffee and getting organized. Awesome week.
