Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I’m a big fan of the WW natural snacks and discovered these two this week. I don’t normally like peanut butter in anything but my workshop leader convinced me to try and, man do they just melt in your mouth. And chocolate pretzels? Enough said. These two cure whatever crave consumes me.
People turned out in record numbers on Tuesday! If you haven’t figured out by now, I’m a firm believer in our civic responsibility and that includes voting. I haven’t missed an election since I was 18 years old. Seeing the turnout numbers almost made me cry (happy tears!).
I discovered a new root coloring system, Madison Reed! My gray likes to be seen in between my color treatments, which I’m unwilling to do more frequently. So, this touch up solution is perfect! Costs a bit more than some of the other ones but it works! The website takes you through a pretty extensive analysis for color recommendations.
I won the February 2020 Library Love Challenge! That means I won a romance book of my choice. Made me very happy💜
I failed to share last week that my mammogram results came back normal! I had a scare two years ago after having gone over three years without getting one. Please…go get tested on a regular basis.
- My power went out in the middle of Station 19 but I was able to pull up the episode from the ABC app. It was SO good!
- I got incredible support from my WW workshop on Wednesday. I love that group.
- I was offered the latest Christina Lauren & J. R. Ward audiobooks for review!
- My sisters and I have had extraordinary conversations this week. I adore these women.
- I’ve started walking again! It’s the best thing for my health.
Congrats on coming back all clear on your mammogram, Jonetta! That’s a worry from your shoulders. And yes, I get mine done regularly too.

I prefer Alexandra, but have gotten so use to everyone calling me Alex that I answer to both. ☺️

What an awesome week Jonetta. I never asked you if you prefer Jonetta or Jo, I have used both at various times. I am happy that your mammogram came back clear. As I am over 60, they don’t do them as often, but I am due when I get back home. Those WW snacks look amazing, I am going to have to see if I can find some. Have a great weekend.

So much great stuff for you this week! It’s so endlessly frustrating to me that people who can just don’t vote and I was thrilled to see the turnout this time too!

I always vote too! I think it is so important. Enjoy the walks, I love walking – it is my main go to exercise and I feel more like myself when I get some fresh air and steps in.
Have a great weekend.

I’m sure you’ve discovered that the primaries are often more important than the general. Glad you changed that, Anne! Thanks for the Library Love Challenge, too. I’m really enjoying the monthly feature.
