Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.
My laptop finally came! It was delayed for almost a month because of backorders from the manufacturer. I’m in love and it was easy to get going. Still transferring files and setting up stuff but it’s enough for me to be better than functional. It’s so much fun picking out wallpapers, color themes, etc.
Hubby’s birthday was this week and all he wanted from me? His wish, my command. He went easy on me but it made for a fun day. I capped it off with a slice of cake (for him) from our fabulous town bakery.
Woo hoo! Audiobooks are now on NetGalley and this was my first grab. It was already on my shelf waiting for library purchase.
On the last family call, we laughed so hard we were all in tears. What a way to start the week.
- I got a discount for opting to use delayed delivery but got the item early!😏
- Got my Dallas Cowboys mask and it’s great! It came with two inserts that can be removed and cleaned regularly. And, it’s very comfortable.
- I have another challenging reading plan this month but am on track to make it! After the book I’m currently listening to, I only have one more group read. And, I’ve loved them all so far.🥰
- I’ve put off finishing up clearing out my mother’s house, hoping the pandemic would get controlled. I can’t wait any longer and quite coincidentally the real estate agent called this week. We now have a great plan and I’ll be leaving in two weeks to finish up. It’s been almost three years!
I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.
