The Positivity Wave #53

The Positivity Wave
Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog,  I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.

I’m Grateful

I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.

Sweet Magnolias is renewed for Season 2 by Netflix!! I don’t care about the date…just want to be able to get the answers to those cliff hangers at some point.

Maeday BBQ
I found a new BBQ sauce! Found this on View Your Deal and the Caribbean Flame is to die for. I used it on my chicken drumsticks.

The Silent Wife
Woo hoo! Audiobooks are now on NetGalley and this is my second grab. Will Trent is one of my top 5 favorite series so I’m very, very happy.

Rainstorm
I LOVE a good rainstorm when it’s not destructive. Yesterday afternoon we had a good one that lasted a couple of hours. It was gorgeous and relaxing.

Laptop
I got busy this week getting all my software transferred over and did successfully! Happy at last.

I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.

What are you grateful for in this moment?

  1. Wonderful week Jonetta. I got Silent Wife too and am really looking forward to it. Woo Hoo about Sweet Magnolias, I am waiting as patiently as I can to find out what happened in that cliffhanger. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Your Positivity Wave always puts me in a good mood, Jonetta! I might have to check out that barbecue sauce, too … I’m getting bored with my old staple, and I don’t always feel like making my own. And yes! I’m with you 100% when it comes to storms. We need one here—sans destruction—badly.

  3. Yay for another great week! My first try on NG audiobooks was for The Silent Wife and they declined me. (: But I do already have the eARC so I guess I’ll be reading. We need some rain when it’s this hot but it’s making it harder to fit in the yard work. Have another amazing week!

      1. Usually I’m ok on NG but I do have the eARC so maybe they thought I didn’t need the audio? But I review at least one book a week on Netgalley sometimes more. I’m over 300 reviews total and at 94% so I don’t know. I don’t have as many followers as we did on TBN or YMKAC but I haven’t been on my own as long yet.

  5. Mmm, these BBQ sauces sound tasty!! I too, enjoy a good rain storm, especially if I can enjoy it from indoors whilst drinking coffee… Nicki recommended Sweet Magnolias as well, I need to get started on that. 😀

  6. Lovely list! That bbq sauce sounds amazing and I’ve been enjoying the new audiobook feature on Netgalley too… I’ve only listened to a couple Listen Now titles though as I’m not sure if I will be approved for others. xD I find the sound of rain relaxing too! xx

  7. As always, we all have a lot to be thankful for. I know I am always in awe of my partner for putting up with me when in a grump.

I really should subscribe to Netflix … one day. I feel like I’m missing out on a few good series that would make it worthwhile. But I’m a terrible binge-watcher, I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole, just yet! 😉

Oh, I too love it when it rains, and love me a good storm, with or without lightning. It’s invigorating and clears the air too. We get a few up here during summer too.

Enjoy you new audio book and that hot sauce! Don’t burn your mouth too much, okay? 😛

    1. Lol💜 I love spicy food so no chance of it being too hot for me.

You’re right to be cautious about Netflix, Alexandra. I don’t go on there unless I plan on whiling away a few hours. There’s always something that will hook me and that series took me by surprise. Two days of watching and it put me so behind. The proverbial rabbit hole indeed.

      Have a great week!
