Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.
My throat was a little scratchy and it feels like I might be coming down with a cold. Thank goodness for lemon tea. I feel better, even though it might all be in my head😏
I wanted this audiobook really, really bad and got approval earlier today!
I was devastated when I learned of Chadwick Boseman’s death but it was wonderful to watch Black Panther commercial free on ABC Sunday night. It was a great time.
We didn’t have a rental for the Labor Day weekend but at the last minute, it was booked!
I am not the best cook but I’m improving! I created my own chicken stir fry recipe (that’s not the pic but it has the right ingredients) and we both loved it! Even better? I enjoyed making it. My Mom is smiling down on me🥰
- My older sister called me to vent about a work issue and she ended the conversation empowered and laughing!
- My younger sister is up to a 20 lb weight loss!!!
- I finished listening to a book I’ve been dying to get to and it surpassed my high expectations.
- I got in two workouts last week! And, I started a plank challenge this morning.
- It’s September, my birth month and favorite time of the year!
- Audible has revamped membership perks and I now have a premium account that allows me to stream books without using credits. I added about six books this morning💜
I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.
If we lived closer I’d rent your gorgeous beach house! 🙌

It’s very peaceful and private. We love staying there. Can’t wait until it’s paid for😏

Where exactly is it located?

North Myrtle Beach, SC on Atlantic Beach. We have special town covenants so there’s no commercial development.

Happy Birth Month Jo! I hope you have a great month. What??? Audible Plus lets you stream books, I need to check this out, I have a month right now to try. I loved The Nothing Man, I hope you do as well. I am going to try ratatouille, a new recipe, you give me hope. I love how close you and your sister are, great to have family support. Have a great week Jonetta.

Carla, I’m so grateful to you for telling me The Nothing Man was on NetGalley!!!
Yes, I’m blessed with my sisters relationships. I don’t take it for granted. Good luck with the ratatouille (giving me ideas!).
Wishing you the best week💜

Such a lovely thing being close to relatives especially during this time. I read The Nothing Man and I think you are going to have a fun time with it. I am making a new Paula Deen chicken casserole this weekend plus a triple berry dump cake.
I am grateful because my bp medicine is working and I am feeling so much better. I am also so very grateful that I have a wonderful friend in you, Jonetta! Thanks for all your input on the new doctor I will be seeing in October. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Can you see me doing the Snoopy happy dance? I am over the moon that your medicine is working, Marialyce💜💜💜

Have a wonderful weekend, friend🥰

I’d love to rent your beach house but there’s only 2 of us so it seems ridiculous. I always love to hear the wonderful things for you. I’ll have to check out the audio you really wanted. Was the one you were dying to get to the newest Karin Slaughter? I’m glad the cooking is going better for you. You are lucky to have sisters. I always wished I had one.
Have a lovely holiday weekend. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather.

Yes, that house is built for about 18 people but 10 people would make it feel homey. And, yes, it was The Silent Wife that made me so happy. Great guess, Anne💜 I almost hated to have it end.
Enjoy your weekend! Weather looks like it’s going to cooperate, too.

I actually dislike cooking, and I think that has something to do with my weight gain over the years, it’s so much easier to eat junk food, but I’m changing, and the last two month have been a vast improvement already. A stir fry sounds right up my alley. 😀
Also, I have the audiobook for The Nothing Man on my tbr too.

Corina, I HATED cooking until a few months ago when I had a beautiful encounter with a cooking angel in the grocery store. She changed my whole perception and experience of cooking. I’m still not overly enthusiastic but I’m enjoying it when I do. And, yes, it’s affecting my weight in good ways.
I think we both are going to enjoy The Nothing Man!

I haven’t heard of this Audible Premium Account – streaming without using credits sounds great! September isn’t my birth month, but it probably is my favourite month as well. I love the transition from summer to fall.

Stargazer, it’s new. I don’t recall getting an email but when I visited Audible, it was plastered on my home page. I haven’t changed a thing but they have now established my subscription this way.
Don’t you just love this season?

Thanks, Suz💜 We thought it would be a weak rental season but the house was booked solid from June through August! We even have it rented this coming week. We are truly grateful.

I’m grateful for these posts, Jonetta. It’s so important to keep in mind that there are many things every day, large and small, for which we can be grateful. Keep up the wave!

Looks like I was able to stop it in it’s tracks. Sniffles and scratchy throat completely soothed.
