Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.
This showed up yesterday! Okay, true confession…this series is my husband’s obsession but if he’s happy, my work is done! But…I’ve kind of gotten into it, too. And, they got the green light for a season 4.
I was able to convince my sister to give up on her awful job and retire. She said yes! The countdown is on and she will be a free woman after Thanksgiving.
I solved my audiobook file storage issues! Found this 5TB Passport external drive gem at the right price point this week.
Finally! A release date for the Netflix Bridgerton series, adapted from one of my most favorite historical romance series by Julia Quinn. Coming to you on December 25💜
My book club chose The Great Alone for this month and it was a fantastic choice. It will rank as one of my most favorite (in the top ten) for 2020!
- Got a perm this week and washed that gray right out of my hair!
- My nephew got an important certification this week. I’m just generally proud of him.
- Hubby cooked barbecue ribs this week and they were heavenly💜
- The humidity is gone!!! Morning walks are back.
- I’m sleeping better these days and get my require amount most nights.
- Reconnected with an old friend this week. It was a fun conversation.
I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.
Yay for you and another awesome week Jo! I haven’t cut my hair in three and a half years!😳💜

All good stuff, Jonetta! So happy for your sister. My husband calls retirement six Saturdays and a Sunday! She will absolutely love it. (I had my hair done this past week too! It’s a wonderful feeling to get rid of those pesky gray hairs!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, my dear friend.

Tell your hubby I’m going to use that because it’s perfect! I was reluctant to retire because it came earlier than I wanted. But, it was the best thing to happen to me.
It’s hard to communicate that feeling you get when the gray goes away, isn’t it?
Enjoy💜

Oh, wish your sister all the best for her retirement. I haven’t looked back. I had to take early retirement in 2016, as it were. And it’s been a blessing. Thankfully I have a great partner for support. And dang, one day I might succumb to Netflix. And oh how I wish our hairdresser was up and running. But we’re all on our second lockdown here. *sigh*

Thank you, Alexandra💜 I had to take early retirement, too, but it ended up being the best thing for me.

Oh, I hear you about retirement. I do more now than when I was working full time because I do it for me. So much less stress too. Enjoy!

Retirement is the best, I’m sure your sister will love it. So, I can’t see the video in my country, so what is the series you are watching? Does you new drive hook up to your phone, Jo? I have an external drive for my laptop, but it doesn’t hook up to my tablet or phone. Sounds like a great week for you, although it happened a week ago (I am behind again). I hope the upcoming week is wonderful as well.

Thank you, Carla💜 That’s Star Trek: Discovery. No, my external drive only hooks up to my laptop. But, I have my phone hooked up to the laptop and transfer my audiobooks to it via iTunes. So, I can easily handle the transfers in less than 5 minutes.
