Saturdays at the Café is a weekly feature hosted here to talk about and discuss the books I’ve discovered during the past week, added to my shelf and am excited about reading. They may be new/scheduled releases I’ve seen on NetGalley, at the library, or from publishers or they may be older titles my friends have reviewed and shared on Goodreads or blogs.

I don’t read much in the historical genre these days but after reading the review by Tessa @ Tessa Talks Books, I had to have this one! It’s a library audiobook hopeful.

Some of the author’s backlist is being reissued on audio and I got this one when it was offered for audio review. I’ve wanted to read them for some time.

I wasn’t sure about this one when it first showed up at my library but then extremely positive reviews from trusted Goodreads friends started appearing. I’m in a rather long queue for the audiobook now because I dragged my feet.

I enjoyed the author’s first book, No Bad Deed, so when this was offered for audio review, I accepted it right away. And, early reviews by some of my Goodreads friends are inspiring.
