Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.
Our bank agreed to significantly lower the interest rate on our loan! And, the foosball table we ordered months ago finally got delivered🥰
Three days on the treadmill this week. And, I’m enjoying it!
Audiobooks are coming to NetGalley!!! If you know me, you also know that this news made me do a happy dance😏
Hamilton streams on Disney+ today! Guess what I’ll be watching this afternoon! I wanted to see it on Broadway so very bad and am grateful for this alternative. Early reviews are stellar!
Read the book and was underwhelmed but saw the movie trailer when it was released on Netflix and was intrigued but too chicken to watch it. Well, I watched it last weekend and loved it! And, I just got Malorie, the audiobook sequel for review (it’s what inspired me to finally get the nerve to stream the movie).
I have been anxiety free for two weeks now! My positivity, breathing exercises and meditation are working. Feeling great these days.😏
My baby sister restarted WW and has lost 10 lbs! I’m thrilled for her. I lost a pound this week. I’ll take it.
My husband has refused to upgrade his iPhone 5C. Well, it broke…just stopped working. We have an appointment at the Apple Store today. I’m praying they can’t fix it and will upgrade him to a 6 for free!🥰
I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.
Positivity is a discipline these days! I still have an iPhone 6 and I expect it to stop working any day now! For some reason I was unable to do the last update so that’s worrisome! I don’t use for much except texting. I use my iPad mostly. Enjoy Hamilton!

I have a 6S and have no plans to upgrade. Like you, I use my iPad for just about everything. The phone is to answer phone calls and hotspotting. I’m holding on until they wrench it from my hands😏

Right? My family has been known to do phone interventions with me! 😂

It’s so exciting about audiobooks coming to NetGalley! I started watching Sweet Magnolias last night and I love it, thanks so much for the recommendation! ☺

I so love these things.
I do have questions about the Netgalley audiobooks though. I like the personal contact I have with some of the publicity people and worry about having none of that through Netgalley. But also, there may be audiobook publishers I don’t currently have a connection. AND it will help add up review numbers on Netgalley, although I’m not sure that is a big deal overall.

I’m sticking with the publicity folks and only using NG for those where I have no relationship. That’s only a few plus any using Audible Studios.

I’m grateful for getting my weekly dose of concentrated positivity from you and Meggy! It always makes me think about positive things in my own life. I might even join in with a post at some point. 😀 Good to hear you enjoyed Birdbox, I have often considered watching it, but never got around to do it.

Thank you, Stargazer💜 Doing these posts keeps me focused on the things most important in my life and helps quell the anxiety. I’ll be forever grateful to Meggy for starting this. Yes, I was extremely pleased with Bird Box. Sandra Bullock is SO good!

Yes, I quite like Sandra Bullock, which is one of the reasons I’ve considered Bird Box.

Good morning and Happy July 4th of July! Glad to see you found such wonderful things to be grateful for. We are truly blessed to live where we do and if nothing else through these trying times, we have learned to relish the small things. I did like both the book and the movie they made of Birdbox. Chilling indeed! Glad your mortgage rate was lowered. We have three friends who just bought homes here bc of the lower rates and were able to get the homes of their dreams. All good!
Another fun week for us picking up our grandson at camp, seeing his happy excited face as he relates his day, and then seeing the happy faces of the twins when we walk through the door. Nothing better than this! …..and our daughter and son in law’s house finally closed in NY!
Enjoy the weekend!

Woo hoo! Congrats to your family on the house closing. That’s such a relief (I go through such angst every time).
Keep enjoying those grandchildren and have a wonderful 4th celebration🎉🎉🎉

So many wonderful things to be happy about! I love that the interest rate is lowered in particular. So many suffer from that, especially because of COVID! Stay happy, Jonetta! 😀

I am so excited about audiobooks coming to Netgalley as well. I have an Android phone, I do not have any Apple Products, but my kids do. I am old fashioned and use my laptop for most things. Glad things are working out with the Beach House (I have a rental house and they lowered my rates as well). Have a great week Jo and congrats on your healthy lifestyle changes.

Carla, I use my iPad for just about everything, even answering my iPhone when it’s connected. Congrats on your property rate being lowered, too!
Have a wonderful week💜

Haha! I am rather transparent in my love of audiobooks😏 It’s so weird. I have a tough time just getting myself onto the treadmill but once I’m there? Love it.

Love all this wonderful news, Jonetta, especially about the anxiety and the foosball table (SO fun). I’ve been doing some breathing exercises before bed and they are really helping.

Thank you, Jennifer💜 I’ve always heard about breathing as a remedy but never really tried it seriously. It’s a lifesaver now.
