the setup…
He’s got beautiful amber eyes, is charming and a dead ringer for Chris Hemsworth. But he’s a murderer, finding his victims on the MatchStrike online dating site where he’s profiled as a widowed father but in actuality is a married man. Meghan, Brecia and Skye all had the misfortune of trusting that charm and now they’re dead…but not gone. Somehow they find each other and together are determined to stop him.
the heart of the story…
Meghan met him in Utah, Brecia in Colorado and Skye in Idaho. We meet them “after” and they were just as surprised as I was that they were now in a different place. I admired how they embraced their new existence, their determination to stop this man from hurting someone else and to help law enforcement not only find them but capture the man hiding behind that slick veneer. All this while discovering each other and their limitations and abilities in an ethereal form.
the narration…
Allison Delaney does exceptional storytelling here, managing the “souls” of three women and giving them life. She had me riveted from start to finish.
the bottom line…
I was hooked from the opening and finished this story in one sitting. The tension never let up as I was a witness to this guy’s machinations for new victims as the women valiantly did their best to interfere. The last half hour had me in knots, the tension and suspense so high I could barely stand it. And it was all so believable! I have a new favorite author and can’t wait to explore her backlist.

Thank you, Carla💜 It was creepy good and the focus is on the victims instead of the serial killer.
