The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson ★★★★

During a flight delay at Heathrow Airport, Ted Severson has a drink with Lily Kintner in the bar and bares his soul about his cheating wife, Miranda. From that encounter, the two of them forge a plan of retribution you could not imagine.

This story took some crazy turns! There were times when it seemed like it was following a fairly predictable path and then you were thrown a curve you never saw coming. I kept getting swept up into these characters’ diabolical plans and would forget they were as bad as the people they were plotting against. I had to curb my instincts to root for these people.

I could never find a suitable stopping point and ended up doing so because other commitments forced me to. There were four narrators for each of those characters given a point of view and that worked extremely well, especially during the transitions from present to past and vice versa. When I neared the end, I couldn’t fathom what I wanted to happen and thankfully the author offered up a perfect solution. It was just SO good!

  1. Wonderful review Jonetta. I really liked this one when I read it as well. I just recently listened to a book narrated by Karen White, but I do enjoy books with multiple narrators. I think I have one of Peter Swanson’s backlist to read.
