Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
Finding good Chinese food here has been a challenge so discovering a new one last night with great tasting dishes was just wonderful💜

I’m a big Eva Longoria fan (she’s the producer) and I finally checked out the first two episodes of Grand Hotel, worried I wouldn’t like it. I’m in!
I’m still discovering clothes I squirreled away years ago when I started gaining weight! This time in my laundry room: three pairs of pants, five shirts and three pairs of pajamas…and they fit perfectly. I’m saving so much money and since I tend to buy timeless styles, they’re not dated.
The View’s View Your Deal strikes again and it showed up this week! This time a screen cleaner that will last longer than a minute AND comes with a fantastic cloth. It works great and was a steal.💜
- Now that my TV is fixed, we are streaming without any interruptions…at all! I’m binge watching like crazy on the big screen 📺
- Found the PERFECT gift for hubby’s upcoming birthday! He’s difficult to shop for.
- My youngest sister returned safely from her cruise to the Dominican Republic!
- Posted everyday this week, including Sunday!
- Finally found a new car wash nearby after my old one closed. It’s cheap, fast and good!
Finding a good Chinese place would be enough for me in one week, nothing would be able to top that 😂 I’m glad you had such a positive week, hope your weekend is just as wonderful 💕

Oh, I hear you when it comes to finding good restaurants. There is no such thing as good Chinese up here in QC, but we do get great Thai, Cambodian, and Vietnamese food. Oh, I just saw they’re streaming Grand Hotel up here, I have to check that out. And I’m always thankful for any day here, since I finally got my permanent residency last year! I’ve found somewhere where I feel like I belong.

Alexandra, I used to live in the Washington DC area and Chinese food was to die for. Here in central NC? Not so much so this was a treasure find. Grand Hotel is sort of soapy and campy…just what I was hoping for. I hope you enjoy it if you get to see it.
Oh! That’s wonderful getting your permanent residency!! That is something to be grateful for every day.

We have had a very hard time finding a good Chinese restaurant. They only seem to have yucky take out places. We did however find a nice place, not great, but better than most. I think we were ever so spoiled by living in NY. Glad you had a lovely week, Jonetta.
Still loving being with the twins, and my family. Life is good.

Sorry for my late response, Marialyce! Your notification was buried amidst a ton of backlog.
Finding good Chinese food outside of urban cities is virtually impossible! Glad to hear you’re loving your time with your twin grandchildren.

I love your good things happening. I’d like to find a great Chinese place which does gluten-free here. When my daughter and I were losing weight about 10 years ago, she was a size smaller than me all the way down – so I shopped my daughter’s closet. But she was 13 so not everything was workable. We did lots of thrift shopping for basic jeans / shorts. We still like to thrift shop because of the one-of-a-kind pieces we find. We’ve even done it on vacation with success. Have another great week!

Thanks, Anne! Good luck finding gluten-free Chinese outside of Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham or Chapel Hill! Those are good suggestions about clothes finds. So far, just digging out my old wardrobe is working. Enjoy your week💜

FOOD!!!!!!! xD Yep, I can’t resist food… I like eating Chinese when restaurants don’t add nasty things in it!
I love that you’re re-discovering clothes! I am gaining weight (which is something I wanted!) so it means my small sizes are getting too tight!
Finding the right gift is difficult sometimes so yay for finding the perfect one!
I wish I could binge-watch TV shows, I miss it!
Fabulous post, darling! xxx

Thanks, Meggy💜 Whether you’re trying to lose or gain, it’s wonderful when you get to change sizes. I don’t get to binge watch TV too often but when I do, I love if. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
