Positivity Wave

The Positivity Wave #15

The Positivity Wave
Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog,  I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.

Old Friends

I had lunch today with an old friend and colleague I hadn’t seen in over 10 years and we never skipped a beat in conversation. It was fabulous💜

Are You Ready for Football

Football season started!!! Can you tell I’m a fan?💜

5 Stars
I’m finishing up reading my third 5-star book in a row! That’s insane.

Yasso Pistachio
Yasso introduced a new yogurt bar and it is delicious, especially if you love pistachio.😋💜

  • Getting my subscription coffee early before I ran out of old!
  • Another great book club meeting.
  • My Dallas Cowboys had a killer opening game😍
  • Everything I needed from Costco I was able to order online, 2-day free delivery…YES! I hate going to the store.
  • Put new color in my hair and am loving it🥰

What positivity waves hit you this week?

  1. There is nothing better than getting your hair color right, maybe especially after going through a phase of not having it right. It seems like such a small thing, but really, I don’t feel like myself if my highlights are off. I’m so glad your new color worked for you!

And those Greek yogurt bars look amazing, how did I not know that was a thing?? Also, what’s subscription coffee? Is it a program where they send you a new one to try every month or something? At first I read it as “prescription coffee” and was like, yeah, mine should be too 😂

    1. Yes! I had a color called sierra brown at my temples where my gray is but it wasn’t working (it came out fire ant red). So I changed up and put dark brown at the temples and streaked the sierra brown in the body and it is absolutely beautiful. It’s what I didn’t know I wanted😏

Yasso makes a full line of flavors in these yogurt bars, most around 100 calories or fewer. My favorite is a fudge chocolate chip but the butter pecan comes in a close second. I love Greek yogurt so this has been a happy marriage. They’re in the novelty section.

Starbucks doesn’t carry my coffee flavor anymore (Caffe Verona Latte) but I found it on Amazon and they offer a subscription option where they will deduct 5% off the price of I have it delivered every month. I love it. And, yeah, it feels more like a prescription😁

      1. That sounds lovely!! The best when you can turn a mistake into something amazing 🙂

The butter pecan bar sounds really good and I love Greek yogurt too. I’ll be on the lookout for those!

I’ve seen that on amazon, that you can do subscriptions for some grocery stuff and it’s discounted. Interesting. Sounds perfect for coffee!

  2. Sounds like a great week, Jonetta. Where is the picture of the new hair? I do love pistachio. I will have to look for those bars when i am in the US. I am a diehard Lions fan. I love to watch them and cheer them on, even though i know they are probably going to choke again this year. Have a wonderful week.

      1. I enjoyed that one. I gave it 4 stars. What is next for your group?
As you know this month we are reading Crawdads, next month is Murder in Saint Germain by Cara Black. It is part of series and I really don’t like reading a series out of order, but what can do.

        1. Our next book is Speak No Evil by Uzodinma Iweala. It’s a “neighborhood wide” library read.

I’ve read the first book in Cara Black’s series and think it’s probably important to read that one first as it provides a LOT of character background. Tough break, Tina. That’s the 17th book in the series and you’re being dropped into the end of a long running series. Our group won’t do this. You might want to share that with them at your next meeting. Perhaps they’d be open to starting with #1.
