The Positivity Wave #19

The Positivity Wave
Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog,  I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.

Bedroom Set

I found a home for my childhood bedroom furniture! This little cherub didn’t have any bedroom furniture and she says she’s now a princess. Mom would be so happy!

Best Friends

My two cousins who are more like sisters came by and spent the afternoon with me while working through Mom’s house. It was such a special time💜

Barrettes
Got these and more for my birthday and I’m lovin’ them. My sister got me another set and I now coordinate my ponytail with my outfits every day🥰

  • Having dinner tonight with a dear cousin I haven’t seen in two years.
  • Gas prices are $.20/gallon lower here in Virginia where I filled my tank this morning!
  • The 50th book in the In Death series, Golden in Death, showed up at my library and I’m 7th in line!
  • Hubby and I had a laughing fit yesterday while out at lunch and made everyone around us smile.
  • Finished The Mortal Instruments series and loved the last book. This series challenged me and I’m happy I read it.

What positivity waves hit you this week?

  1. Sounds like so many positives this week. I love how happy your little cherub looks with your bedroom furniture. What a wonderful gift to her and yourself. Spending time with those we love is always special. 😀🌞💞

  2. I was wondering if you were in VA, Jonetta. ♥️ I love that you are that close with your cousins because I describe my two female cousins the same way, and our moms are sisters, so it’s perfect. I also loved seeing that sweet cherub sitting on her new canopy bed! I always wanted a canopy bed! And I can see the tiniest peek at the dresser, and assuming you gave that to her as well, the set reminds me of two sets we received from one of my aunts that became my bedroom furniture. It was a while or ivory with gold or some sort of metallic accents. It took me a long time to that furniture go, and your post brought back some great memories!

    1. Aww, that’s lovely, Jennifer💜 Yes, the set includes that dresser (the top opens up to a mirror) and a full chest of drawers with a mirror.

What a coincidence! My cousins’ mother and my mine were sisters, too. We’ve always been close and no matter how much time elapses between visits, it’s always like we’ve never been away.

  3. I’ve really been working on trying to be more positive. It is something I can struggle with. My big thing this week is that husband did well with his surgery on Friday. He should be back to normal, but with less pain on Monday. He is already getting around pretty well. I’m also really excited for the cooler. I slept so good under blankets and the windows open last night. Have a great week.
