Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday that was hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
My love for all things Will Trent is legend amongst my bookish friends and Slaughter, another favorite writer, cannot pump the books out quickly enough. Now that the first season of the television series has aired to rave reviews, I’m hoping that keeps the book series breathing (she once had a three-year hiatus between the books!). I highly recommend the audio version as Kathleen Early is one of the best storytellers.

I have yet to read a book from this author as I’m not really a true crime enthusiast (I blame watching the nightly news). Having said that this sounds amazing and I might just see if my library will carry it! Great pick!

Thanks, Jodie💜 This is the 11th book in the series so you may want to begin at the beginning. Slaughter is not for the faint of heart as her stories are gritty and graphic…fair warning!

I enjoyed the Trent adaptation but I haven’t read any of the books.
