The Christmas Reading Challenge is hosted by Jodie @ That Happy Reader. Since many publishers release their holiday stories in September and October, the challenge starts on September 1, 2023 and runs through December 31, 2023. My goal is to read 10.
How it Works
- Just choose 20, 15, 10 or even 5 books that you’d like to read (and hopefully review). They do not have to be Christmas-themed.
- Make a quick introductory post of what you plan to read. You may to use the image the host created for her challenge, the one above or one of your own.
- Link back to the host and comment.
- Want to swap a book? Go for it.
- Fancy changing your list half way through? No problem.
- Deciding to drop your goal from 15 to 10 (or even 5)? That works.
- Would you rather start in October or November? That works, too!
My Proposed List
- Bright Lights, Big Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews
- The Book Club Hotel by Sarah Morgan

I love the look of this Jo, even though I don’t tend to read many Christmas books. I’m going to sign up for 5 and who knows I may end up doing more!

So many of my favorite authors write Christmas stories so I’m going for it! Hope you do, too, Nicki💜 You’ve some Christmas traditions that would work.

I do the HoHoHoReadathon which the Caffeinated Reviewer does in November. That’s the earliest I want to read holiday / winter stories.

Good luck with the challenge! I don’t usually read a lot of Christmas books unless it’s December, but I did recently read The Book Club Hotel and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks, Yvo💜 I didn’t use to read them much either but so many of my favorite authors began writing them.
