Audiobook Challenge
My goal was to be in The 100 Club, which meant I needed to listen to at least 100 audiobooks. I far surpassed that goal, achieving the I Can’t Hear You level having listened to 133 books in 2024!

Library Love Challenge
My goal was to be in the OverDrive Junkie group, which meant I needed to read/listen to at least 36 books borrowed from my library. I fell far short with 24 books read, achieving the Thrifty Reader level in 2024. But, I’m happy with that as I read far more ARCs.

Beat the Backlist Challenge
My goal was to read/listen to 50 books from my backlist. I actually read 34, falling short of my goal. Again, I’m all right with the results as my focus shifted to ARCs in 2024. However, my backlist will be my primary focus in 2025.

Finishing the Series Challenge
My goal was to finish at the A-List, meaning I had to complete at least 9 series. I far surpassed that goal having finished 22 series (yes, I’m a series girl).

20 Books of Christmas
My goal was to read/listen to 10 holiday stories and I actually read 11! I had a lot more I wanted to read but I’m happy with where I landed.
Summary
I enjoyed participating in these challenges as they fit nicely into my personal reading goals and objectives. While some of those objectives shifted during the year, I still wanted to meet the challenge goals. I’ll be continuing all except the Finishing the Series Challenge as the hosts have ceased participating.

Well done Jo, you must be very pleased!

Even though you did hit all your goals you still read and hopefully you enjoyed what you read. I like your picks on challenges. Good Job!

Thanks, Joanne💜 I turned to audiobooks a few years ago when I got on several publisher lists and got hooked. The narrator talent these days is off the charts.

Wonderful year, Jo. You did a great job and as long as you are happy with your results, that’s what matters. I wondered about the Finishing the Series Challenge. I kept checking their webpage and saw nothing. I’m still going to do it though.

Thank you, Carla💜 I only do challenges that fit my goals so I always end in a good place. You and I should consider hosting a series challenge. The 2024 hosts abandoned their site around the end of the summer.

I saw that. Do we have to ask them to take over, of just do it? Do you know how to set up linkys?

We’d have to call our challenge something different but I’d still recommend reaching out. Anne could help with linky or I could just figure it out.

Sounds good. I will send Lenora an email and ask her and get back to you.

I already heard back and she was quite happy to pass it on. She wants us to send her a link when we have it set up so she can redirect people to it. If we want to use her graphics we can, or we can design out own. I’m excited. What is our next step? Do we both set up a sign up page, or just one of us? I’ve never done this before.

I’m going to reach out to you via Goodreads. I have a private group for my personal management that we can use for planning.
