Sarah Morgan has moved on since she unsuccessfully defended her husband Adam in his trial for murdering mistress Kelly Summers eleven years ago. the heart of the story…
She’s back! You must read the first book to fully appreciate this one. There’s a lot going on here and Bob is certain Sarah is gunning for him. I wasn’t sure if his fears were well grounded but if I were in his shoes…just saying. The divorce process turns nasty and I knew something was coming and was braced for it. Let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed.
the narration…
It’s an all star cast giving voice to all the important characters and it made such a difference. Mozhan Navabi, Andrew Eiden, Adam Lazarre-White, J. S. Arquin, Brittany Pressley, and Andi Arndt delivered great performances.
the bottom line…
This was one of my most anticipated releases and I inhaled it. Sarah and Bob are both cagey and devious, keeping me off balance as to what they may be up to. In the background was Sheriff Hudson who, deep down, knew he couldn’t trust the obvious as his instincts with the first murder confirmed. All throughout I was waiting for the twisty moments but still was caught off guard. Get your popcorn ready and settle back for the most interesting ride. What’s next?
