the setup…
Naomi Roth thought she was living an idyllic life. She is married to Jeremy, a successful investment manager and is the stay at home mother of five-year old son Teddy. What could go wrong? She returns home after picking Teddy up from school and the garage door won’t open. Then her key won’t open the front door. Jeremy opens it and has packed her bags, sending her to an apartment while he surprises her with a renovation. You buying this? Well, Naomi did…until she’s served with divorce papers. But she’s determined to save her marriage.
the heart of the story…
Naomi get a clue! For a long time, I wondered when she would wise up, especially when the girlfriend appears. I figured there’d be more to this and braced for the twists.
the narration…
I was in audio heaven with three of my very favorite performers – January LaVoy, Edoardo Ballerini and Marin Ireland. LaVoy carries most of the story but all were great. Do yourself a favor and listen to this one.
the bottom line…
I had such a good time despite me screaming at Naomi and wanting her to snap out of it. Not to worry as when this story pivots, it’s a hard turn and I refused to remove my headphones until it was all over. I’m new to the McFadden fan club and this was delicious.

Excellent review! OMG the husband is hateful. I still think I would enjoy listening and hating him.
