Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
We had a great book club meeting this morning. The category was memoirs and everyone read something different and shared their choices. Really interesting discussion.
Speaking of Book Club…my selection turned out to be a 5-star listening experience, though I’m still haunted by her story.
I just started this new series (a series read in one of my Goodreads groups) and am so hooked! Great on audio💜
- Got the curtain rods up at the beach house! Major stuff got done and those sunrises are still stunning.
- Remembered to take my old coffee maker this trip and didn’t need to leave home for my morning Starbucks Caffe Verona Latte fix.
- Loved the first episode of Jack Ryan, Season 2.
- My nephew just passed a major exam for his job! More money 💰
- Hubby listened to Harry Bosch’s 9 Dragons and I listened to my book on my headphones during our trip to the beach. We were both happy and I even paused to talk about his (I’ve already listened to it).
Nice post! I’m behind on review so I skipped this week. 😱

So glad you had a terrific week, Jonetta!
We decided to put our house on the market in February instead of April. My husband and daughter are in town this weekend looking at houses. It’s pretty exciting.
The twins had great checkups. They turned six months last week.
Have a super weekend!

Woo hoo🎉🎉 I’m really excited for you about your house hunting! It’s a buyer’s market here. Hard to believe it’s already been six months since the twins were born! Glad they’re doing fine.
Have a fantastic week, Marialyce💜

I like the sound of your book club, reading different books. Do you do that every time or just this time?

We only did it this time. We wanted to cover the genre but thought it best that everyone select their own. The results were interesting and ran the gamut of subjects.

Sounds like a great week Jonetta. I like the sounds of your book club reading different memoirs to discuss. I did not do my positivity post this week as I was sick all week and besides reading and watching movies, I didn’t do much. Have a great weekend.

Oh, I’m really sorry you’re under the weather, Carla. Please take care of yourself.
This was the first time we did something like this in our book club and it worked really well. My partner in managing the group came up with the idea for this genre. She developed a list of genres, solicited recommendations for each and then scheduled them to mix things up. Memoirs was a toughie so she came up with this approach and we thought it brilliant.

Sounds like a great week. I do like memoirs, I really should listen to more of them. The last one I listened too was Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Eric Idle. I really enjoyed it.

Melanie, I thought I was ambivalent about the subject of memoirs until I had to pick one for this meeting and realized my shelf was full of them! And, I’ve also enjoyed those I’ve read. One of my favorites is Audition by Barbara Walters.

Meggy, that book club discussion was so rich! It was one I had to lead but I didn’t have to do much as everyone was so excited about their choices and engaged in the others.
Have a wonderful week💜
