Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
(A little late this week because I’m out of town and Friday was a beast!)
My sunrise with coffee yesterday morning. *sigh*
I met or surpassed all of my reading goals for all of my blog challenges in 2019!!! More to come on that in another post.
I had no fewer than four people, strangers, compliment me on my smile. Of course, that led to fun conversations that made the day a little bit brighter.
I finished my first print book in over eight years! And, it surpassed my expectations. I had to find my old bookmarks, read by lamp light and figure out how to hold a book again. It was kinda fun😏
- Found a used washer & dryer for the beach house under our budget. We’ve looked forever!
- My older sister got a new hairdo that is just gorgeous! She’s finally found a style that shows her inner and outer beauty.
- I’m down another top size!
- A plumbing problem we thought was going to cost major money ended up costing nothing!!!
- My hubby finally listened to my coaching about how to get people in gear to get the last work done at the beach house and it worked!
What an awesome week Jo! You had to learn how to hold a book again? Hahaha so funny! Have a wonderful weekend my friend and congratulations on your weight loss!☕📚💗😁

Thank you, Susan💜 You’d be surprised at how different it is to read from a printed book versus aniPad…no swiping, no backlighting, and it’s wa-a-ay heavier!
Enjoy the weekend!

Sounds like a great deal of positivity this week, Jonetta. Along with some good bargains too. We sold our old washer dry to a couple that moved into our building and they were soooo happy! So were we. 😀

Alexandra, they seem to get snapped up lightning fast so we were thrilled we got there first.

Oh, I know. We were on our way to post flyers around our complex (they have bulletin boards) and we met the couple in the lift. Can you believe it. The guy and his brother came around the next day! 😀

Another lovely week Jonetta. You are so funny. I still read “physical” books, so I love that you picked one up and had to relearn how to hold it. Awww, so great that you are smiling so much that others are commenting. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you, Carla! Remembering to smile is improving my own attitude. It makes such a difference on my outlook.
Yes, handling a print book was a comedic experience😍

Reading physical books bugs me now because I can’t enlarge the font size!!! 😂

You had another exceptional week! I’m so happy. Wow I didn’t know you hadn’t read print for that long but I am definitely on that track. I read less every year between the Kindle of 2012 and audiobooks after 2015.

Thank you, Anne! I remember the last print book I read…it was Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts. I got the hardcover from the library because it wasn’t yet available in digital format. That was June 2011.
