Welcome to my Friday feature! Created by the wonderful Meggy @ Chocolate ‘n’ Waffles, it’s a remedy against feeling down by creating a list of all the good things happening in my life this week. I became so inspired by her weekly posts and later also that by Nickimags @ Secret Library Book Blog, I felt it was time to begin sharing my own good feelings. It can be anything, from the smallest gesture from a stranger to a major event in your life that alters the direction of your day. Maybe something here will bring a smile to you in the moment.
I know deep in my heart that I have lots to be grateful for in the midst of all the worldwide worry and concern. If I keep my focus on gratitude, I’ll feel its constant presence.
Hurricane Isaias pretty much bypassed the area where our house is located, winds reaching no more than 45 mph. No flooding, no wind damage…what a blessing! Thanks to everyone who reached out with concern🥰
My younger sister joined the family call on Sunday for the first time! We introduced her to two branches of my Mom’s family. It was joyous💜
My dear online friend and co-moderator of two Goodreads groups reached out to me for help last Friday. Her husband was suddenly gravely ill, near death. It took five days for her to contact me with the news that he’d turned a corner and is on the long road to recovery. I was praying daily and those five days were torture but what a blessing💜
We had another conference call with our besties that lasted 1 1/2 hours. It was bliss and we miss seeing them so much.
I FINALLY came out of denial and deleted about six series (most were canceled) I was never going to watch. One had 11 shows in it! Between Hubby and I, we went from 94% to 63% in an instant. I can’t believe how good and unburdened I feel now that they’re gone. No guilt at all🥰
I continue to pause and reflect upon the people and things in my life that truly matter. For that, I’m grateful.
Glad to hear that the storm passed you by and you were safe. We got lashed with winds and rain, and extensive damage was done in certain parts of the city. Thankfully, where we live we got off lightly. And yes, as always, there is so much to be thankful for, most especially my partner. Take care of you and that big family of yours and continue to laugh and love!

We are lucky with weather, where we are. And yes, I am thankful every day for all the small things that make life worth living. We need to remember each little act of kindness and return them two fold.

Phew, what a relief that the hurricane bypassed your house! Haha, no deleting series doesn’t count as housework, but I can imagine how good it must feel. 😀

Jonetta, I am so happy for you that the beach house is okay. I was afraid to ask, as I had seen so much damage on the news. Very happy to hear about your friend’s husband, that is a blessing for sure. I love blessings to do with family and it sounds like yours continue. Enjoy your week and thanks for sharing all your positive vibes.

Thank you, Emer💜 That just warms my heart, especially since my motivation for doing these posts came from Meggy inspiring me the same way.

Thanks goodness we got lucky with the storm. We went to Virginia for a few days and drove through Cumberland, where a tornado had touched down, Pure devastation but happily only minor injuries. The power of other Nature is amazing.
We are back home now, picking up sticks that had fallen from our trees, but safe and sound.
We were able to connect with our former neighbors and were able to see our daughter and son in law and family before our granddaughter went off to college.

Marialyce, I will always be in awe of and respect the power of Mother Nature. We were prepared for the worst and got the best. I’m really happy it was the same for you. Glad you got precious time with family.
Have a great weekend💜
