The 20 Books of Christmas Reading Challenge is hosted by Jodie @ That Happy Reader. Since many publishers release their holiday stories in September and October, the challenge starts on September 1, 2024 and runs through December 31, 2024. My goal is to read 10.
How it Works
- Just choose 20, 15, 10 or even 5 books that you’d like to read (and hopefully review). They do not have to be Christmas-themed.
- Make a quick introductory post of what you plan to read. You may to use the image the host created for her challenge, the one above or one of your own.
- Link back to the host and comment.
- Want to swap a book? Go for it.
- Fancy changing your list half way through? No problem.
- Deciding to drop your goal from 15 to 10 (or even 5)? That works.
- Would you rather start in October or November? That works, too!
My Proposed List
- The Holiday Cottage by Sarah Morgan
- Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey
- Love, Holly by Emily Stone
- Home for Christmas by Courtney Cole
- Just Like Magic by Sarah Hogle
- Always in Christmas by Emily Stone
- The Matzah Ball by Jean Meltzer
- The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews
- One Day in December by Josie Silver
- The Billionaire’s Christmas Baby by Victoria James

Well I’ve just about finished my Twenty Books of Summer challenge so I might do this! I don’t read Christmas books till November though so will make a note for later. I think like you, it’ll be ten books. I’ve got four Christmas books on my Netgalley shelf already and no doubt they’ll be joined by more! 🎄

I’m thrilled that you created this challenge, Jodie💜 I just bought two Christmas audiobooks by Victoria James that I’ll also be listening to and will add to this list.

I’m doing Kimberly’s HoHoHoRAT this year I think which is late in November which is when I am willing to read holiday stories. This would fit that also. I’m sad there won’t be a new Anne Perry Christmas story this year. Enjoy!
