the heart of the story…
Normally this level of miscommunication drives me nuts but I soon figured out that Hazel’s life has been one sack full of that, instilling so much fear of abandonment she was emotionally paralyzed by it. Tucker is a different story as he couldn’t mask his feelings for her. And then there’s the whole lot of the Colburn family, including their significant others who provide insane comic relief and so many laugh out loud moments, interfering whenever at all possible.

the narration…
Lila Winters and Sebastian York were ideal as Hazel and Tucker. She mastered her angst and he his wry humor. They also elevated the secondary characters in a way that made the story so lively. Great performances!

the bottom line…
I’ve loved being in Star Falls and this is a worthy end to this lovely series. It embodied the best in small town romance and community and the familial relationships made it more special. Even sister Kiera was given a new beginning. It has that magical Shalvis signature that makes me want to read whatever she writes. I’m grateful I had both the audio and print copies to have a combined reading experience.
